"Power: Labor in Utah’s Coal Country" is a local companion exhibit to the Smithsonian's Crossroads exhibition that focuses focuses on rural labor and how Price area mining built a unique, multi-ethnic community. The exhibition weaves a holistic story that highlights the connections between local labor, women’s labor, and the labor movement. Created in collaboration with the USU Eastern Prehistoric Museum and the Helper Museum.

This exhibit accompanies Crossroads: Change in Rural America, a traveling exhibition from the Smithsonian Institution's Museum on Main Street program that provokes fresh thinking and sparks conversations about the future and sustainability of rural communities. Crossroads offers small towns a chance to look at their own paths over the past century – to highlight changes that affected their fortunes, explore how they have adapted, and think about what's next.

Crossroads: Change in Rural America is a collaboration between the Smithsonian Institution's Museum on Main Street and Utah Humanities, touring in partnership with Utah State University Eastern. For more information, see www.utahhumanities.org.
