Our workshops and courses provide direct and hands-on learning in several areas of our work.
Community Conversations
We believe that facilitated conversation engages a community better than rhetoric and argument. Our three-day course trains community members and nonprofit professionals on how to facilitate reflective, empathetic, and difficult topical conversations through a humanities lens.
Heritage Workshops
Our free regional workshops provide museums, historical societies, and other collecting institutions with hands-on training in a wide range of operations, preservation, and interpretation topics. Onsite mentored projects give participants the opportunity to apply their new knowledge and skills.
Venture Course
The Venture Course is a free, interdisciplinary humanities course offered by Utah Humanities to adults. This accredited evening course, taught by college faculty, gives adult students new ways of thinking about their lives and their world and empowers them to take more control of their future.
