DESCRIPTION:We will share highlights of the recently completed oral history collection featuring 20 musicians who either grew up in Castle Valley, Utah or had a career in music in this area. We will give an overview of the tremendous musical heritage of the region and honor those who have created that heritage and continue to make music inside the 'castle walls' that enclose Carbon and Emery Counties. We will have a 20-25 minute slideshow presentation, followed by a brief survey, then mingling with our local musicians while waiting for the Utah State University Eastern Choir and Orchestra performance that begins in the same Geary Events Center at 7:30 pm.
