Introduction to Oral History Workshop
Sep 29, 2016, 9:00 am
Interested in oral history? This workshop is a great place to begin!
Oral History is a powerful tool to understand your family stories and community history. This workshop will provide a focused introduction to the art and craft of oral history: to the philosophical underpinnings of the discipline—what it can, and cannot, tell us about the past—and to the nuts and bolts of executing successful oral history projects. Oral History workshops are presented jointly by Utah Humanities and the Utah Division of State History.
This half-day workshop is delivered in conjunction with the 2016 annual State History Conference. Workshop is free but registration is requested at https://heritage.utah.gov/history/2016-conference
