Geology & Paleontology of Southwestern Utah - Lecture by Dr. Jerry Harris
Oct 14, 2017, 10:00 am
Rocks in southwestern Utah span a vast amount of time and are a largely untapped paleontological resource. Many of the rock layers contain - or likely contain - fossils that have been virtually unexplored. Come join DSU geology professor Jerry Harris to learn about the work of geology, paleontology, and what you might see if you keep your eyes open while enjoying southwestern Utah's fabulous scenery! Event is free but registration is appreciated - sign up at www.artstozion.org
This event is part of Washington County Works!, a county-wide celebration of work that accompanies the Smithsonian The Way We Worked exhibition, stopping in Leeds from September 16 to November 4, 2017 at the Silver Reef Museum.
