Fireside Readings is the opportunity to hear Native American voices discuss the cultural heritage of southeast Utah under the dark night skies of Calf Canyon. For this unique literary event, we are enlisting the help of Torrey House Press and contributors to their forthcoming book, Edge of Morning. Scheduled participants for the evening are editor Jacqueline Keeler, contributors Lyle Balenquah and Regina Lopez-Whiteskunk, and local poets Ann Walka, Scott Robertson and Vaughn Hadenfeldt.
This program will highlight the important Native American connections to the Bears Ears landscape. Warm beverages will be served. Please bring warm clothes and a camping chair, if possible. Please park at Twin Rocks Trading Post and walk to Calf Canyon.
This program is funded in part by a UH Quick Grant
